Apparently I have been with Telecom/Spark for 26 years and I always found them great, they even pay a pretty good dividend.

However, I have made the mistake of changing my plan from Fibre 30 to Fibre 100 unlimited. I didn't realise I would be asking a little too much of Spark. I can't even count the number of times I have been told the words "hopefully", "should" "expected" and the statement "it should be done in the next 24 hours". The thing is that I am not even getting an install, just a plan change.

Forgive me if I sound like I'm whinging, but where do I go to next? I don't want to call or live chat Spark again and feel like I am living the real life Groundhog Day.

Can anyone recommend any good ISP's that service CHCH for fibre? Not having a dig at Spark, their mobile phone service is great, however, I think I will cut my losses on the Broadband front and just try someone new.

One of the Spark representatives on here will probably sort it out

1 bad experience out of 26 years hardly warrants changing ISP's because of it

Perhaps you should read some of the comments on the spark facebook site.

Read any comment on any service providers Facebook page and you'd think they were in a dire situation

I only read them for amusement when bored

I agree!! If the OP can please send me a private message with their account or order number, I will look into the issue and see if I can give it a nudge.

The views expressed by me are not necessarily those of my employer Spark NZ Ltd

Spark finally stepped up to the plate and have sorted the fault. Happy ending all around

There is something mysterious about this Fibre Plan change order ... I've seen many a thread like this on GZ ... specific to "change fibre plan" on spark (even other ISPs) taking an infinite amount of time

A speed change is carried out by the fibre provider, SLA is I think 5 days. While Spark are responsible, if there is an issue at the LFC end, it can get problematic at times.
