Any updates on this? My fibre will be installed within the next month or two and my contract with 2degrees (was with Snap, then they got bought, not been happy with my 2degree service since) is coming to an end next month. Looking for a new ISP and bigpipe seems to be universally loved.

Still all happy with CHCH performance? I tend to use heavily during the day (work from home) and then moderately/heavy in the evening.

Hi BeardyMcBeardFace. In August, I broke my contract with MyRepublic (200/200) and switched to BigPipe (200/200) due to the poor congestion in evenings and weekends (Christchurch) and couldn't be happier. Usenet connections are now utilising the whole 200Mbit at all times in the dat and transfers between home and Amazon (AWS, S3 and ACD) are still running at around 100Mbit per connection. Go for it - at least with BigPipe there are no contracts and you can use the UFBSWITCH promo code to get two months free. You can use my referral code to get an extra $20 credit for both of us.

Pretty rare to get any slowdown at all for me. Been with Bigpipe in CHCH for a few months now, I can get 217/217 to a Sydney server at around 8pm.

The performance is great, and better than I am paying for 99% of the time.

One thing I am hesitant on is that connection fee. One, because having worked for a telco before I know this connection fee is mostly BS and just used to encourage people into a contract. I know that Big Pipe doesnt have a contract, but $50 to connect (which is literally entering altering a few lines into a computer) seems steep. Makes me hesitant. Anyone managed to avoid the fee? I noticed they currently have a sign up now get 2 months free. Obviously that makes it sound better, but I see it expires this month and I wont have my fibre enabled by then. Is that a pretty regular promotion? Did any of you guys have anything like that?

Good to see you guys having continued good results with bigpipe. Ive been waiting to see the Aug trunet results to confirm my suspicions that MR have not lifted their game. I will probably now pull the plug and argue their inability to deliver to deliver as advertised to get out of the contract
