And again the $39.99 one is missing a data increase again :/ Last round they shaved .25gb off it.
All they did was add Spotify but I'm not losing my extra data to change to a current plan. But they happily added data to all the others.

Not impressed. Grandfathered $39.99 1.25gb plan I stay until I pay the last little bit of my phone off and leave.

If you have to run heating in winter, you don’t own enough computers.

hmmmm, that does change things.

I have crap Vodafone coverage at home but spark is great, now that there are plans with calls to Aussie included this does open up the door.

I have been with Vodafone for 15 years + but the change is now viable.

Wonder what rebate will be given on the $79.00 plan?

Do they do a share plan like Vodafone do?

I could be wrong but it looks like they are not giving any phone rebate on anything less than the $99

Phone rebates are long gone really, sure you get them but you need to be on a 24 month contract on a higher plan that does not offer as much.

Just do interest free payments on the phone you want over 24 months.  the difference in plan price will cover the sub you would have got anyway

Normally you'd be absolutely right but for business reasons I need to have a rebate rather than 24 months interest free. Ideally I need to have a plan with around $600+ rebate on the phone for not less that $79.00 a month. I only use 1.5gb data with my phone, ipad and another share on my plan so all the increased data is nothing. I call Aussie regularly so that is also important.

Ok next question

How the hell does one get the lightbox.  You click on a button which takes you to a voucher system however this system will not accept 021 numbers and says you can only get it with homephone and BB with spark.

They increased the data cap for the unlisted 29.99 plan though! Up to 1gb now, couple that with the 500mb I get with Spotify, this isn't too bad at all!

Oh just talking to spark now and having to tell them that is lightbox is now included with pay monthly, it's like they don't send out memo's to staff lol.

Ok, so it seems people with ported numbers at this time can't signup for the voucher for lightbox.  Sparks chat does not know anyway to help and will have the accounts team call me later

Given that I'm not interested in Lightbox or Spotify, I'm struggling to see why I would even contemplate paying $40 a month for 1Gb on Spark when Skinny can offer 3Gb for $30. On a per-Gb basis Spark is four times the price of Skinny!

If the added value is of interest to others, thats $26 of value, making the 1GB plan $14 per month. These days, with mobile being ubiquitous, added value is how to shop.

It's all about the extra's, skinny is no extras just phone/text/data.

Sure if you are only after the basics then get skinny, however if you like the extras like spotify and lightbox then it's smart to go with spark now.  All in all if I was paying for spotify and lightbox it would cost me $26 a month, for $34 dollars more I get 4gigs of data (currently 6.5gigs as I have a bonus amount), unlimited calls, text to NZ and AU.  Plus I go to the movies a bit and the "thanks" movie tickets are cheaper than standard tickets which is also handy for me :)

So for me this is how my music and TV shows are like

Free:

Neon (thanks to sky)

Lightbox (thanks to Spark)

Spotify (thanks to spark)

Google music (thanks to youtube red)

Paid

Youtube red for $9.99 a month.

Netflix at $12.99

Pandora for 4.99 US (I use pandora in my car as it's build into the sound system).

I'm the same.  I wonder if I can just get a $26/month credit to use on my plan.

Is it just me, or have the Tablet/Mobile Broadband Plans kind of been forgotten about?

http://www.spark.co.nz/shop/mobile/mobilebroadband/plansandpricing.html

While I get the $29.99 Tablet plan works out better value (1.5GB vs 1GB on the $39 Pay Monthly)

The $79 Pay Monthly now gives you 7.5GB of data (Plus Free Spotify/Lightbox/Wifi/Etc) where as the $89 Tablet plan which only gives gives you 6GB (With no freebies/wifi/etc)

Was also hoping the data extras might have dropped in price, but unfortunately not..

Perhaps to encourage you to move to the plan with extras (that you may grow into, and become more sticky). Maybe also to reduce the plans to keep them simple.
