My connections dropped twice (that I've noticed) in the last half hour.

Ironically the second time it happened was while I was about to download a syslog server since the router logs retention seems limited.

Would dns settings on the router have anything to do with this? ie DNS service becoming unavailable? I wouldn't have thought so. DNS timeouts perhaps but not connections lost...

With the syslog server in place I've seen 3 drops in the past hour :\

Is your ONT optical dropping. As it could be a physical issue.
