I bought a D-Link Tipan modem/router today, and I am having trouble connecting to VDSL.

According to the model VDSL link is up and running:

DSL Phy Version:

Link Power State:

UpLink / DownLink

SNR Margin (0.1 dBm):

88 / 94

Attenuation (0.1 dBm):

0 / 53

Output Power (0.1 dBm):

-196 / 151

Attainable Rate (Kbps):

7624 / 56068

Rate (Kbps):

But there is nothing available under IPv4:

MAC Address:

IP Address:

Not Available

Subnet Mask:

Not Available

Default Gateway:

Not Available

Primary DNS Server:

Not Available

Secondary DNS Server:

The only system log I can find wants to save to a syslog server, so I have no idea what is going on.

Connection is set to:

xDSL router.

PVC-1 8/35

VLAN tagging disabled.

Password: password

Dynamic IP

MTU: Auto

Connection: PPPoE

VCI: 35

Encapsulation: LLC

ATM QoS: UBR Without PCR

What do I need to do to fix this??

Looks like you have pre-configured DSL settings for Australia.

Under xDSL Router Wan Access Type, you need to change PVC to PTM-1

Internet Connection type as PPPoE

Tagged Vlan to Enabled (VLAN ID 10, Priority 0)  (this might be under Advanced Settings..)

If any settings are missing you will need to update the firmware.
