They may update to not breaking now, news
Stuff was working but slow, Herald and RNZ seemed to work fine during the outage
Must've have been outage at one of their major POPs.
Is the spark mobile network running ok? iphone doesn't seem to want to find a network
Currently in Wellington city
lol Spark wrote in a Facebook post that it was "aware of issues affecting some people's broadband mobile" but there network outage page said everything was fine!
Balm its gone!
When first started troubleshooting, it looked like the issue was in Sydney, I had connectivity to everything in NZ including GZ, but FB etc were down, and trace routes looked like packets were making it to Sydney and then going poof.
After I restarted modem and ONT as a "just in case", I had even less connectivity, and no traceroutes made it past the .jetstream.xtra.co.nz IP which I think is the POP? Still had connectivity to a handful of NZ sites but that was it.

I'm confirming I don't have working mobile data, phone connected to Spark's network but won't go to 4G
Spark's own app says there is no internet

Media Advice on Spark mobile and broadband outages 29 January 2017
Impacted Spark mobile and broadband services are now being progressively restored following this morning’s outages.
From approximately 9.15am there were widespread outages intermittently impacting some mobile and broadband services in locations around the country. This impacted 263 of the approximately 1500 Spark mobile sites in New Zealand, those sites predominantly in the Auckland region. Broadband services were also impacted in other locations around the country.
Technical teams have been working hard on resolving the issues as a matter of urgency. The problem was identified as a hardware fault located in one of the core Spark network exchanges and a fix has been put in place. Most impacted services restored immediately, and others are progressively self-restoring.
Should customers not see services return to normal, we recommend they restart their broadband modem or mobile device.
We apologise to our customers for the inconvenience caused.
