Yeah, fibre connection still very patchy in Onehunga. You'd think you'd make sure before saying "all fixed, just reboot your device". It's not.

I was perfectly fine this morning during the outage. Since they've "fixed it" it's been a bit patchy.

yitz: Good time to be using ISP DNS servers :) (although I assume it might be PPP that is going up and down?)

Correct, just an easy to remember overseas IP.

Left it running for half an hour or so;

Broadband is working correctly now. A reboot of the router is not enough despite Spark's instructions.... I powered down all equipment and that seems to have fixed the problems. No thanks to Spark!

Can confirm this worked for me too, powered down ONT and router. Powered up ONT then router.

mentalinc:

Interestingly on Bigpipe and had no issues with internet (Fiber) today. Phone on the other hand no data

The Bigpipe network is totally separate and only uses the same international connectivity.

Tried powering down router, ONT, then powering on ONT, router.

Internet is "functional", in that occasionally packets make it through, but packet loss is around 70%.

Oh well. I'll drink every time a packet comes through!

Decided to not tell CSA my "router" is a FreeBSD box, don't want to muddy the waters :)
