If anyone made a filter to try, you shouldn't have received this mornings rendition if it worked (or theyll be in the folder you specified)
JBHifi.tk about 730am
Oblivian:no spam today. left as set yesterday with discard. Will watch closely.

I've been doing my filtering of the recent lot (the last few weeks) based on the Received headers rather than the sender address, virtually nothing much has showed up for a while now.
lisati:I was origonally trying to set up with 5 country codes they use. I could not work out an easy way. At present .tk is used but expect them to (move to .ml or bq again soon my rule (I put in.... if the headers contain slai.win....discard.) works today but they may change slai.win . Who knows?

problem...mail sent from other xtra email address and outlook.co.nz get message from xtra postmaster saying rejected. Mail sent from gmail does not arrive and sender gets no message.
Have disconnected rule. I will see if others are ok.
if in doubt read the instructions. I have heeded advice given earlier and changed from eject to put in spam folder. will see what happens.

I think that's almost normal for the current setup. My sister, who also has an Xtra email address, often gets a "rejected due to spammy conent" message when trying to reply to emails I've sent her. On my business mail account, which lets me monitor what's coming and going, I've seen a couple of messages from Spark (including my phone bill on one occasion) get rejected as "spam." (The only reason I've got a business mail account is that I was running my own email server at home, until the machine I was using packed a sad on me, I haven't got round to replacing it yet.)
Huggies and rainbows end appears to be the latest company to target.
huggies slipped through as only one today. no rainbows end though.
a great improvement.
A fake Apple email came my way tonight, with the From address crafted to flick replies to mysparksupport[at]spark.co.nz
My mate got conned here. he accepted a bonus gift from Trademe on one of these spam emails. He gave his CC as he had to pay freight, $5, it was some skin cream. They billed his CC NZ$142 though :-) The bank are reversing it, they have a huge backlog so it will be a few weeks
Funny thing is they sent the cream
OK So last night, knowing we get a few in the early AM, I tested my own theory and put a custom filter for moving to the spam folder for the usual suspect domains being spoofed.
What happens on syncing this morning... Oh look. Moved 'Contact Gifts' without intervention at 827am.
Simple filter on user end, can't get it right server end for everyone. Go figure

Understand that, but if the user filter manages .tk, that means at the server end they are taking the view that every email from .tk is spam. Or am I missing something?
I have just noticed that as from about 15 May, my Spam folder is being used, so I can now see what SMX has filtered out as spam. Trouble is, it includes MightyApe, Netflix, Dominos and the High School that I get emails from
Actually maybe its when I started marking as spam, but there are MANY not spam emails in there, there is no way I put them there by mistake. In fact I haven't marked that many as spam anyway. And I cannot locate a Not Spam button
