OK, Yahoo was a bit of a dog but over the years using webmail such as Yahoo, Gmail etc I have become used to the speed and ease of using keyword searches to quickly locate historical correspondence.
Xtra - SMX is adequate for locating email addresses and keywords in the Subject, but trying to get a list of emails for me to flick through, when the word is in an email text body is worse than excruciating.
I'm not talking just minutes here, but if I can darn near go to the shops for a coffee and back and still the little spinny circle thing is all I get; I give up.
My email inbox and folders are not unusually large.
If Yahoo could always give me a result in literally seconds, why cant Xtra SMX deliver the same ?

Yep. Since SMX has taken up Xtra few months ago, SMX has been nothing but a problem for us. Prior to Xtra takeover, we had may be one downtime from SMX or slow mail delivery once a year or every 6 months. In the past 6 months, we have had many issues with SMX for all our clients including another one yesterday.

Checked email header yesterday for an email and SMX took 32 seconds to process it. multiply by this many hundreds of emails..

few details to ask, how many emails do you have in your inbox? (i'm wondering if this is a scaling per inbox issue)

Just over 10,500 emails and about 40 Folders.
To be honest though my sorting into folders is tardy as for so many years the keyword search in text content was so fast with Yahoo that I could find in the blink of an eye while talking on the phone any email on any subject made me a bit lazy.
