In my street, we can only get ADSL , and fibre will come approx March 2019, thats fine  no issues with that.

But i noticed randomly that 2 homes ( one same side, and one opp side ) have vdsl availability, so i want to know how and why is that possible, why cannot I get it,

Is this some sort of preferential treatment of some kind?

Because xDSL degrades with distance and the cuttoff has to be somewhere...

DM me your details and i'll answer with a bit more relative information.

VDSL only goes so far, before it's not an effective service change (it has lower power levels) or instability occurs.

It could also be possible your address is simply not defined correctly within chorus's checks and requires a manual look rather than automatic.

Post your xDSL line stats and we could see how close you are to serving exchange / cabinet

Try same side of street other direction for VDSL availability, i.e. X-2, X-4, as the feeder cable may run that way in your street with the cutoff for VDSL as X+2 with only ADSL at X (your house), X-2, X-4, X-6, etc.

I imagine you're probably just outside the cutoff for VDSL on your exchange/cabinet. Your neighbours (if they have it) probably wouldn't be getting fantastic speeds on VDSL anyway.
