Well I just got the T-Stick running after Telecom rang up to sell me into this deal with claims that "Its much better than your old Sierra 580...will most definitely out perform it....".

I did BB speed tests before installation (on my Sierra 580), then the the T-Stick, then the 580 again.

The T-stick was deliverng a consistant 10% performance of the 580.

Along the whole process there weere the usual Telecom-ish f-ups:
- "It'll be connected in 10 mins...". I call up in 30mins to find that the technical issue of it not being connected was "someone currently in a meeting"
- Letter states 7 day grace period for refund. Call center says 30days
- The self installer from the T-Stick also deactivated use of my old 580 so I had to uninstall the new watcher to get back onlne.

With the tstick, is it connecting using the 1X, EVDO, EVDO Rev A mode?
What is the Aircard 580 using?

Do you have the URL's to the speed tests (if you used speedtest.net)?

Regarding the refunds "mix-up" for items sold over the phone there is a standard 7 day right of return if you have second thoughts, have not used the device and do not intend to. The 30 day money-back guarantee offer is a promotion that is being run by Telecom similar to the one for new Xtra DSL connections.

Both have different conditions, and both apply from the moment you receive your new device in the mail. Once you use your device though, the 30 day MBG applies only.

Are you near a Telecom store? have you thought about taking your laptop in with both datacards? They'd be more than happy to help...
