Finally Telecom have launched an online usage meter for their mobile broadband users.

I have tested and it works well.

Similar to existing ADSL broadband usage meter, great move from Telecom, obviously the world of mobile / cellular broadband is changing and utilities like this will make customers accounts easier to manage!

This is going to make life so much easier, now if only they would stop putting the usage on your phone account as "data calls in units"

A standard bill will just show how many IP Packet data calls you have made on the Telecom bill which doesn't mean anything when reading the bill.

when I used to use a data card I contacted Telecom and asked if they could show the amount of Megabytes used on the bill and was told that this was not possible.  They told me they could send out a report after the bill had printed which will detail the usage. I requested this on one occasion but all the report showed me was the times and dates that I used the device.  It still showed the usage as IP Packets, not in Megabytes.

This new usage meter is a much better way of keeping track of usage for sure.
