Yes, I had 5++ years of intermittent ADSL issues. The connect speed would drop off to almost unusable speeds or there would be no connection .

Issues with internal house connections, connections at the the curbside junction box thing, issues with the connection join under the house .
In the 5+ years , only 1 Chorus tech bothered to look at the join under the house (he said it was in a bad state ) .
One Chorus tech said the has been to my small street many many times , due to all the issues on my street .

 

My final fix was when Fibre became available last year , I moved to fibre.
Its possibly just the poor state of wiring , both on & into your property .
