What is the current list of supported countries for VoLTE roaming?

And yet Skinny wouldn't do anything until I swapped my SIM card.

Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat APAC as a Technology Evangelist and Portfolio Architect. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.

Most support desks require significant troubleshooting before escalation to the next level. In many cases because there is limited information available or significant uncertainty. You just have to exhaust all troubleshooting until they eventually tell you it must be unsupported or they escalate to someone who will eventually tell you it's unsupported.

There's always the chance some silly step results in success for one reason or another even in cases where it should not be possible.

But yeah when you're on a path that's essentially unsupported it can be a long time before someone tells you it's not supported. Because it might work for some random reason like your Indonesia wifi calls for example.

I need to have that chat with the Skinny Supprt team and point them to the support material.

Only if 2G / 3G is available to carry the call not sure why you are asking about 4G as VoLTE is Voice over 4G / LTE

Nah, there are still phones that connect to 4G for data, but switch over to 2G/3G for calls

Well I'm currently in Taipei and I'm able to VoLTE Roam on Chunghwa Telecom with my Skinny SIM.

Data and voice we're working perfectly until yesterday morning, when suddenly I couldn't get data to work. Oddly VoLTE calls still work, but not mobile data.

Tried toggling airplane mode and even rebooting the phone. Calls are still OK, but no data. Even the Skinny App, which will work overseas even without a roaming pack, wasn't working.

Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat APAC as a Technology Evangelist and Portfolio Architect. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.

Thanks for the tip. Most of the other networks wouldn't let me connect so I bounced back quickly and it didn't make a difference.

Just tried switching to "T Star" and my data is working again. In fact I can no longer connect back to "Chunghwa Telecom".

@openmedia: You may need to try and connect a number of times in a row due to roaming steering

Only T-Star and Chunghwa are available for prepaid roaming.
