wont work on XT, this handset is Quad Band GSM

Many handsets are Quad Band GSM, the Handset needs to support WCDMA or UMTS 850 also.

See the thread on XT Networks and its FAQs to get a better understanding.

Moving a little bit off topic but ....

What I'd like some advice on is the necessity for the QWERTY keyboard (and extra bulk) on the M900 (or the Touch Pro2) compared with the F900 (or Diamond2 assuming it comes in WCDMA850). Currently have Treo WX and use the keyboard for email on the run which is nice, but really miss a decent browser screen. Also carry a LG P100 tablet notebook when out of town, so heavy duty keyboard activity is not an issue. Just how good are the soft keyboards on the likes of the M900 and Diamond2 - likely to be as easy as the Treo for small messages?

+1 for the HTC Lancaster. My #1 choice right now is the iPhone but even if it doesn't come to Telecom officially, we can still buy it from Voda and use it no problems so I wouldn't put it on the top of my wishlist. The Lancaster, however, looks sweeeeeeet - same form factor as Voda's exclusive HTC Magic but with a slide-out QWERTY -- awesome.

If Telecom source this, I'd also love them to go with HTC's customised Android software that includes native MS Exchange support. It means they won't be able to brand it with the Google logo but who cares about that. Rogers in Canada have taken this route, I reckon its a win!

i would like a phone.. any phone with a bottle opener attatched to it
ive always wanted one...
its an awesome idea!
and apparantly a nokia 2280 some super glue and a bottle opener just doesnt cut the mustard
apart from that, i wouldnt mind the nokia 5800, touch screen and a 3.5mm headphone jack oh yes oh yes

this is where a signature goes

I'm interested in QWERTY (non-screen-rotate) GPS Windows Mobile devices for corporate app usage.
That means the Samsung i637 is about the only option besides the Palm Treo Pro already announced.

Plus Symbol devices like the MC35/55 etc but on 850UMTS

Nice wish, but I dont think there are (m)any dual SIM 3G 850Mhz around, let alone an operator willing to bring one onboard!

Palm Pre. A shame that it won't be available in GSM/WCDMA for a while.

Will the Palm Pre launched on June 6th in the US work on Telecom's existing 027/CDMA network? Why don't Telecom bring those out? I guess it distracts from their XT network launch...

The fashion icon of a phone.... The Motorola RAZR V3 (BLACK). Best phone ever made I think, if they only made it 3G...
