Timdotz: Just walked past the store in Lambton quay, and 3 people are waiting outside already. :(

Serious?!?! Damn it! I underanticipated Wellingtonians.

Just went down there and most of them only found out about it by the advertising that went around the streets today told the telecome guy they were skipping work to sit in line, don't know about the first person in line as he bought some entertainment with him.

None of them have any blankets etc so guess they will be calling some favours from flatmates.

Was he a tall, ginger-hair university student? If yes, he could be my mate :P

Went by the Dunedin store at 3.45 this afternoon. A dude outside with his sleeping bag already.

Yussss....no feeling of needing to go down to the Dunedin store now. Tho if I didn't have things to do today and tomorrow I would have been there by now.

To be fair, for $1000 plus a free phone, it'd be worth it to stand out there.

I'll wander past on the way to work and will see how bad things are, if it looks like I can be in & out in under an hour and a half, I'll probably hang around so I can get rid of my existing POS phone.

I'll have a look in about 20mins on the way home and see if there's anyone already waiting there :) No doubt there will be the requisite TV cameras there sometime this evening.

EDIT: 7 people in line at Wellington as of 5:05 apparently. Think I might leave it until next week, guessing they won't be activating things on Saturday?

Freaking hell its cold out here on Lambton Quay. First in line. Settling in for the long haul. There are 8 of us delusional souls here trying to enjoy the night away.

To be honest, I'd only be sticking around if I was first, or had a share in the prize.

Hey a fellow Feverite. Yea they sure did. They even supplied us with power so we can have a heater and internet access. These guys sure know how to do a launch.
