Probably also good to note that because VF have GSM & 3G service and they are 2 different networks in theory, when 3G breaks but you still receive 3G signal, you sometimes manually have to set your phone to 2G.

In many cases around auckland and north shore, I used to have to call in an report a fault because no one on VF could make calls, the fix was to manualy select 2G. I had this fault at home in albany for about 2 weeks before they fixed it, this ment that everyone coming off the sector or cell I was using could not make calls (only receive) and couldn't TXT because the devices were trying to use 3G which at the time was broken.

Removed my rant as it was a bit off topic and was just me beating my "more than a decade with Vodafone on account and sick of the poor service" drum.

Would be nice if I could credit my prepay though, but the systems are down so it wont let me, nor let me go through to customer service until I've credited my account. But guess what?

Theres a hole in my bucket...

Seems to be a common fault these days, when you change back to pre-pay then VF don't recognize your number, you cant call customer services, cant tpo up, etc... I've had 3 phones do this in the last 3 weeks! Luckly I know someone at VF that managed to manually fix it.

Late to the discussion buy @michaelmurphy - a friend of mine works at Nelson Hospital and gets ZERO coverage at the hospital. Luckily the hospital uses Telecom!!

Correction: I had to live in the Nelson Hospital for about a week coz' I messed up my leg pretty bad. My Voda never failed and was pretty much full coverage.

Around that area it's pretty much of a muchness, ofc you ain't gonna receive good coverage around places like Xray Machines (lead walls) or the CT Scanners. The hospital staff uses a mix of devices because of this.

Maybe it's forum post dyslexia ? Or is it the special type of choosing things that has me buy Beef Stock instead of Chicken stock at the supermarket despite me being *absolutely* sure I put Chicken Stock in my cart and only discovering when i got home ?

Or maybe it's the "lets just post in this random topic that has nothing to with my issue in the hopes it would get seen" ?

forgot to mention, I am currently on VF Mega plan with 20xanytime min + 200xOffpeak mins+VF family+1 bestmate, also paying on average $20 for calls made during the day and another $20 for data(even though I'm quite careful with the data cos it's so expensive with VF)

Can someone please help, am I on the wrong plan? or wrong Company even??
