Hi all, I've got the iPhonewzealand carrier settings applied to my phone and was able to use mobile broadband using an XT SIM yesterday.

I've now swapped SIMs and "my" SIM card now cannot connect.

I changed the APN last night to www.m2.net.nz to "block" traffic while awaiting my 120Mb data plan change to come into effect.

This morning I've changed this back to internet.telecom.co.nz with no username/password, and I'm unable to connect.

Any ideas? The history of the SIM is that it was a brand new retail SIM in June, which I presume means should be automatically provisioned for mobile broadband? Or do I need to phone them and check?

Just phoned Telecom, got transferred to a Kiwi who said I was provisioned for broadband on this SIM, and that I had the correct APN. I was also told that they could not help me any further because the iPhone is not supported. Great.

So did I stuff something up when I changed the APN to the Black+White APN?

I've double checked and re-entered internet.telecom.co.nz and it still won't work.

As I said, yesterday I was using a different XT SIM/account and it worked.

Help!

Ok solved this.

I didn't think it would be the case but it seems that having EDGE turned off in SBSettings blocked my XT data.

Maybe I am confused but I assumed that with XT being "3G only" that the EDGE setting was therefore redundant.
