So exactly what will this phone do in Q4 that my GSM K750i doesn't do today? Anything?

well, the nokia takes a SD card
and has a better screen.
it's also a cdma, so you'll get faster data than you can on a gsm.

other than that...... your bluetooth implementatin is probably better (nobody "gets" like bluetooth ericsson does) - and your GSM phone is a smaller size.

anything else?

Who mentioned your KX250 anyway??? (or whatever it is)

The Nokia has a larger screen (in terms of pixels)
The Nokia is a smaller phone
The Nokia is a lighter phone
The Nokia will do around 3 - 4 x faster data nationwide (CDMA 1x vs GPRS)
The Nokia will give you 1000 txts 7 days a week for $10 monthly

Thats the advantages in Q4 that you dont have now.

I mentioned my phone?

That screen on the nokia looks great, otherwise the nokia is actually bigger and heavier (ever so marginally).

I'm already invested in memory stick and don't plan to use mobile data heavily until Q1 so those points are moot for me right now :)

mike - you have a fairly recent and topline phone right now - not much point upgrading to the cdma nokia unless you're unhappy with your telco. The nokia is an upgrade, but only marginally so, and there's the whole phone number change problem.

now, if you had a slightly older T610 or 630, it would be worth looking at this nokia, but it's just as worthwhile looking at newer vodafones, if you don't mind the slower data speeds.

Going by the link use in the first post I would say that the phone will make the Asian market, but is it to be released here?
Very few phones make it to the New Zealand market so don't get to excited yet.
But still if there was ever a phone we at Geekzone could test for Telecom then this would be it, lets start a roll call of those willing to test the phone.....

I'm in.

Hey disenchanted, when you upgrade to the 5600 don't forget I'm in a 4920 when you come to flick off your 7400, smile.
