It will be 30 days.

It would be silly if you could, beacuse that would just be avoiding the restrictions of the plan.

some big time users asctually could avoid traffic shaping and get full speed by just keep restarting their router and get new ip. i did that too and it worked for me. i could dl on MU and other sites with good speed until today. today it seems to be not possible.

i cant get full speed by restarting the router today.

does this method still work for you guys?

have you tried this today?

I very much doubt the fact you restart your router is the reason why you get a better download speed to shaped websites.  Users like yourself are the reason the rest of us that use the plan normally go extreemly slow.

New Zealand is waking up.  In three or so years we will have a world class connection if all goes well.

As per my interleaving...

Telecom told me they would have it sorted by Monday evening.  At 7PM I called to confirm if it had been fixed. I knew it hadn't, yet they told me it had.  I asked for them to follow it up with the technician like I did last time and they said that Telecom would definatly fix it by tomorrow.
That was the definate answer I got on the 5th, 8th, 11th and 13th of March.  Needless to say, I'm not holding my breath.

The journey continues...

and i doubt NZ will have a world class connection anytime soon. LOL.....

Iran will most likely will have the world class internet in 3 years than in here.

NZ is way behind and expensive.

It doesn't work, your plan is based on your PPPoE username, not on your ip address.

And I guess you haven't read the news lately, http://www.nzherald.co.nz/connect/news/article.cfm?c_id=1501833&objectid=10631510

Hi John12,

We have the same problem.  I noticed my internet get very slow since 2 days ago.  Even if i tried to restart my modem several times my speed still stays the same.  before it used to work.  Speedtest shows my DL speed is just 1.4 Mbps, it used to be 11 or more :(

I would argue that too.  But it aint Telecom running that show.  Its private companies that want it to make money.

Just struck 9PM.  No call from Telecom today.  Fingers crossed for tomorrow. :|

and man after you get used to downloading from everywhere at full speed, its very stressing when you get very low speed that you cant do a thing on the net like right now.

:(((((((.

i have had full speed when my ip was 125.238.34.34, 24.105, 24.216

i cant get those ips now.
