xoddoza: If anyones interested, i'm able to actually play games on this Big Time connection again. Pings to the US in League of Legends are about 150ms with none of the rampant packet loss of before.

Well, that is fine for someone who plays League of Legends, or other such online games, but I just want my http speed back!

As do I. I get a lot of stuff through HTTP downloads, and currently cant really get more than 20kB/s from my source. I'm happy for the plan to be managed even to 300 kB/s during the day if games are still playable then and it all uncaps overnight...
Talkiet:Savageone: 5:20am and i thought i'd try downloading a file as well. its not much better than during peak times. getting a max of 130kb/s. i use to be able to max my line and get just above 900kb/s during off peak. this is ridiculous. where's doozy or Talkiet when you need em :-(
thought i would do a speedtest and well, thats pretty much maxed out.

I'm still here and watching, and reporting new issues to those involved, but I don't have anything new I can tell you... Sorry about that.

k1wi: I'm amazed at how slow my speeds are during the day on http, and damn facebook has huge lag, I can count to seven before the next page loads! Everyone here seems to use DLM's... Could someone PM me a good one to use? I tried using the firefox add-on, but the download just disappears :/
DravidDavid: I don't understand...
You all complain when your download speeds to everything is 5Kb/s and under and now everything seems to work while still getting 120-300Kb/s to HTTP downloads and your all still complaining?
I think the slightly reduced speed and the extra 10 minute wait on a patch is worth the fact you can use VoIP and game at the same time now. 120Kb/s is still a 1Mb/s connection with the potential for an extra 7 or more for ADSL 2+ users when the shaping comes off or gets a little less.
I have to admit, right now I can't really complain right now. The TVNZ thing is a bummer but I'm sure it will get fixed eventually.

Im sorry but you are calling a drop from 900kilobytes to 100 kilobytes a "slightly reduced speed" ??
Do you work for telecom or something? :)
I mean come on, lets at least be realistic, a drop of that magnitude is not what most would call slightly reduced.
DravidDavid: Im not saying a drop from 900 to 100 is slight at all, its huge. But your on an UNLIMITED plan with thousands of other users trying to pull 900 down most of the time. You can't expect to max your line every day of the week.
I don't know about you. But I'd prefer 60 to 100Kb/s over 5Kb/s any day. If Ventrilo stops working I play on national servers. If everything seems fine...Well, yay.
But since a few days ago, many have reported vast improvements. If you haven't seen an improvement yet, Telecom probably hasn't go round to ya'!
I hate to say it. And maybe the CSRs have gotten to my head. But if you are having issues that effect something you really love doing, just change and keep an eye on the thread. When it gets better change back.
For those who can't...Complain until your lungs collapse.
