Hi there,

I have a strange question regarding my Windows mobile device.

When i put my XT Sim into my phone today the opperator name showsup as "53005" instead of "Telecom NZ". Is there any explination for this? It's not a critical problem, but I would like it to be right :P

Thanks,
Patrick

53005 is the network operator code for the network.

Handset software contains lists of the network operator codes. Your handset ROM obviously predates the XT launch and doesn't contain XT.

Right, But I thought it would drag this down automattically when I select set network.

It has Vodafone NZ in there - I have tried searching these forums with no success - so does anyone know how to add the name or will I have to alter this in WMs registry?

Edit: Ok, sorted it...I changed it in the Registry-Assigned the opperator code to the correct name.

Cheers.
