vel: Just called Telecom and they said they'd raise my speed back to normal (no idea for how long) within 24-48 hours. Said they have resolved this problem last week so it shouldn't be a problem anymore.


Whoever told you that obviously didn't know what they were talking about. Typical.

Speed finally seems to be back to normal this evening.

Can anyone recommend a data usage tracker in case the same thing happens again next month.

Person from Telecom said not to worry because they were working on it and he said it should be working shortly. He also tried to make conversation which was nice because I could understand him, he said it was 40degrees over there (he should work for 2degrees, haha get it? yeh... lol), and he said everyone was sweating like a pig and its hard to work. Maybe thats why its so hard to get results from them sometimes? must suck for them.

So much for this issue being fixed.

Still reporting 0mb usage here.

Not that its that important to me, but it would be to someone else, and it would be nice to see how much I am actually using to make sure i can keep an eye out for other providers plans.

the issue was an overcount of Download data, Upload data isnt being counted as it is free from what I can gather.

THe reason upload data isnt zero rated is that it will still pass through the billing systems as usage and count toward the cap therefore in order to provide free upload they have to stop the upload count completely.

day 4 and used 16GB! apparently we used 6gb in 1 hr watching low quality tvnz feed. how is that even possible! please sort it out!

Hi all, an update on this error, we're in the process of taking down the usage meter until we can restore it with correct information. As I previously mentioned we will put this right for those impacted, the exact details of that are still being worked through. I will be able to post more information later today but rest assured if you are effected we will make it right.

Mine is still stuffed - Hopefully a fix soon. It shows nothing for the last 15 odd days of the billing cycle. w00t! I'm on Big Time so not a big drama but I'm doing some offsite backups and would like a good estimate of usage so I can work out some figures.

I should clarify, the Big Time usage not showing is not directly related to the error usage with the other plans, I believe that will be fixed by the 19th.

For myself, I checked this morning at 7.30 and it was showing as 1 GB. My own system stated 400 MB. The usage meter now shows 1.1 GB and my own usage showing 1.2 GB. It may be 'in line' for some, but it sure ain't recording the usage in real time. Seems more like estimating the day.

phew ... what a day, anyway, discovered the root cause, working through the fixes also working through the mechanics of how to make it right for you all, I will definitely know tomorrow
