Hey, have you already had your sim card replaced, because the V1 sims caused the problems you are describing, something to do with the roaming application. you should be able to go into any telecom store or dealer and have this replaced for free. :)

Have you have a new SIM installed at there was a problem with both the R6 and R7 with problems like this which were solved when the SIM was replaced. There is a post somewhere here about the problem..

My prob at the moment is trying to log into hotmail. The box isn't very big to type your email address, and when you type it in, it sorted moves along and you lose sight of the first few letters in your email address. You then type password and click sign in, but it says incorrect user name or password, and then when you look at what you typed, it says: username@hotma

So it hasn't picked up all of the text. Any ideas?

Wow, this really is geekzone.  Isn't the name of this thread 'R6 pissing me off'.  Well, this happening on my R6 is pissing me off!!!

The other R6 thread has been locked so it seemed a good place to put.

This is side splittingly funny to read, but on topic getting the SIM card replaced will fix your network and duplicate contact issues. It will be at no cost so find your nearest Telecom shop and things will improve?

May be consider getting a new battery if problems persist as that freezer treatment may not have helped! ;)

unfortunitly everyone here has infact got it worng - the person who told you to place your battery in the freezer had it half right, i think they ment to place the whole phone ( including battery ) in the freezer and just leave it there. hope this helped

Ok this battery in freezer thing has got the better of me... I googled it and got this pages which is a balanced view on whether to freeze or not to freeze!

http://ask.yahoo.com/20011219.html

Summary is freezing will extend your mobile battery charge life, but has no affect on duplicating contacts or losing network coverage. This is definitely related to the SIM card which needs replacing.

[Edit] Forecast updated... thanks

And I'm not sure whether you deliberately meant to say weather, or whether you really meant whether - but I guess given we are talking about freezing, weather could be appropriate. All I know is, you didn't mean wether....

Yeah.Perfect.
Go back a hour or so later..and your phone will be frozen.
Won't get it fixed, it'll have water damage after that.
LMFAO

thats why you put it in a zip bag thing.

I wouldn't follow the advice of putting a mobile phone in the freezer - ever.
