Hey all

I am on telecoms big time plan ...

since I started with telecom I suffer at least one - three modem reboots daily and this is really starting to get annoying!

I have a Thomson DSL modem .. filtered etc

At some stage during the day I will get at least one, or sometimes even up to three reboots of the whole modem which is pretty annoying as it upsets my internal network ... and my work ... as I work from home!

The whole modem reboots and reloads ... I noticed the browser bar on firefox has something in the long line of html about DNSspoof in it.

Why is this rebooting like this ... and is this normal behavious ..... maybe an IP renewal???

If so does it have to reboot totally?~

help!

thanks

Simon

Do you have another modem around you can try as a test because I've been hearing about this problem quite a lot and I suspect it's the Thomson.

I have a thompson that I was given because it was resetting all the time, losing the external IP, and doing whacky stuff with the DHCP that was handing out conflicting IP addresses.

The guy replaced it with my old netgear dg834g which I didnt use since I dont want the wifi in the router and it is rock solid for weeks at a time, as it was for me and my replacement netgear without wifi.
