I have been wading through heaps of these threads to try and find a solution to my problem. But have had no such luck.

My problem: I am receiving about 10% of my txts sent to me.

i have an i-phone 3GS on the XT network.

The iphone is running version 3.1.2 with the carrier patch thing that was posted on this website to make the phone work correctly on XT.

I have had no problems for months- working like a dream. But now all of a sudden I am having problems with receiving txts only- everything else works great still.

I seem to only receive 10% of all txts with no logical pattern. Is there a way to fix this? A week or so ago the missing txts came through randomly all at once about 40 of them. But the most recent txts have failed to do that this time.

It is very less than ideal.

If anyone out there has a solution other than the standard reset etc solutions, i would be grateful.

I feel like I am on my own as Telecom do not support iphones.

Can you supply some more information? I.e. which carrier are the TXT's originating from? Voda? 2D? Telecom?

If you have failed to get some help, I would flick NealR a PM he should be able to give you a hand.

EDIT: First give 123 a call and ask them to check if you have any corrupt pending TXT messages.

Thanks for your quick responses!

txts originate from telecom and vodafone, as well as a frequent international txts in Canada from a provider that I am not aware of (perhaps the international txts are the source of the problem?- although it hasnt been a problem in the past on my iphone). none from 2D.

I rang through to 123 yesterday- they said everything looked fine with no txts pending, and they did a reset on my sim card, they also sent a few txts through to check it was working, and they came through fine. But today I got my flatmate to send a txt as a check and it has failed to come though.

I really thought it was fixed last night!

@nzbnw- I am not entirely sure how to get in touch with NealR??

Thank you both for your help anyways

Have a browse around some of the threads in this forum and when you see NealR, send him a PM :-) (He doesn't bite...much)

Are you able to test with any other numbers? If it's just the one thats causing problems, the problem could be at their end, rather than yours.

Thank you, I managed to stalk NealR down. Fingers crossed something can come of it.

@nzbnw- Yes i have tried with friends and family all with mixed and frustrating results.

But it is all fine. Not the end of the world- will keep at it though. A solution is bound to be out there...maybe.

Cheers for everyones input.
