For the life of me I just can't remember the *xxxx number one could dial to have the telephone number from where one is dialing voiced back. I thought it was *1953 but it didn't work. Hope someone can help. Also, are there other self-service numbers out there?

Thanks in advance..

1957 also works, but just teel you the number, where as 1956 also tells you the area code.
