i Believe this maybe happening due to telecom crediting it's customers.
at the moment where i am in picton i can currently send and receive text message but can't make voice calls i keep getting the busy tone. then my phone displays Network Busy

Could be. Why would they send them all out at once? Seems a bit reckless

My Phone has been having issues receiving text messages lately, Generally I have to text myself then 3 or 4 messages all arrive at once... But right now since about 3pm today While I was in Central Wellington I have been having issues and am now in Island Bay and still having issues with sending text messages, sometimes the phone says it fails but it sends (they get it) other times it fails and they don't get it.

I also wondered if the free credits could be the culprit, but being a "world class" network it shouldn't congest this badly? could it?

it wasn't this bad at Christmas in the park, in fact xt was the only network that would work, everyone else was completely congested.

(Christmas in the park in Christchurch by the way)

At first I thought it could be the buses or something in central Wellington but 4 people I know who I've asked are all having problems and are all Wellington Region based thats right now.
