Well I have had an Apache since it came out and I'm pretty impressed with the speed of the device. I have now gotten my hands on the K-Jam from Vodafone and it seems sooooo slow compared to the Apache.

The K-Jam just seems to be sluggish when navigating programs etc.

Has anyone else been able to play with both devices???

The other thing that I have noticed is that if I get any sort of application pop-up message it will appear half off the screen and I have to drag to the middle to read it, dont know if this is just an issue with my device or ?????

One more thing is the general build quality - it just feels\looks a bit plastic, kind of like a kids toy - the face is OK, its more when you slide the keyboard out. Black plastic just looks cheap.

Apart from that its a a nice design, love not having an aerial!!!!! and I think that the screen seems a little brighter then the Apache also.

Keen to hear anyone elses thoughts on this.

The K-Jam and the Apache are different machines - CPU, memory etc... The Apache runs at 416MHz, while the K-Jam is 200MHz. Lots of difference.

As for the message, someone told me about this just yesterday. It seems to be a ROM version problem, since I didn't notice this with the K-Jam I had here with me for testing.

I like the Apache build, and don't mind the antenna. But I don't dislike the K-Jam. The face is quite pretty.

As for network speed, well you know it: GPRS x CDMA EV-DO. No comparison is possible here.

Does anybody know what the battery life is like on the K-Jam? it only comes with one and I know that I would be lost without a second one with the apache.
