Couldnt make calls, SMS wouldn't work and people couldn't ring me..

Called Telecom who said the usual, reboot etc.. but to no avail

To cut the story short, had to wait till monday and went into a telecom store and was told "oh you need the new v2 sim as your old v1 sim has been disconnected"

Ohh really ? crikey.. Guess XT are lucky i persevered in wanting to fix it,  i was *so* close to changing provider after all these outages .. why on earth would they do this without notification of some sort eg: txt a week before hand to say "hey go change your sim"  grr was i meant to know.
rant over.. :)

They would not disconnect a sim just like that with no warning

I?m surprised the CSR didn?t pick up the SIM card had been blocked, it is clearly displayed once the number is entered in to the CRM system, I?m not convinced if it really was blocked?

The device would have indicated ?No Service? or a similar message too. Can you confirm if the phone was showing service and connected to ?Telecom NZ?. Also what make / model phone are you using?

Oh and thanks for persevering ;)

Yeh it just said no service .. Using iPhone ..
