hi everybody,

i notice that big time is going to be remove, and i required to change to another plan.
But i want to ask about the advance payment when i pay the first bill.
As i recall, the advance payment is one month.

So, am i going to receive the advance payment back???

All telco's and ISP's typically charge for the next months service in advance. There is no money to "get back".

why would you expect to get that back? you are payiny up to the following billcycle date.

But if they charged him for the upcoming month and the kill date for Big Time was just a few days after that then he could expect to get that back - or at least the unused portion of it. At the same time he'll be charged for the first month of the new plan.

I've been in that situation before - when on the one bill I've been credited back the unused portion of what was pre-paid and then charged the charges for the new plan.

I think what he is seeking is an assurance that Telecom aren't going to take his money and run - that he is not going to be left out of pocket.

All comms companies charge in advance, if something changes, such as a change in plan etc, the amount you have to pay or have paid will be carried over to the next plan, as a credit on the account, ofcourse depending on whether the new plan is cheaper or more expensive.

If you move providers, then that is a different story, it may be initially placed on the account as a credit but you would need to contact the company directly to see if there is a refund due.
