I bought one of the HUAWAI HG556A modems off Trademe to use at home. I am on the Xtra network at home and cannot figure out how to change the user / password and DNS settings to Telecoms.

Can anyone shed some light on configuring this modem to work on Telecom's network?

You need to be able to log into the management pages of the router - can you do that? (Usually it is http://192.168.1.1)

THEN, you need to find where the username and password for the internet are and change them to user@xtrabb.co.nz with a password of abc123 (I don't think it matters what password you use, I have used that one and password with no issues). Then you need to save the settings and you are good to go.
