It just freaking sucks when you call them up and say there might be something wrong. They put me on hold, transfer me to someone, do a line check and everything appears fine to them. Lol twice last week!!

ahmad: What are the DNS settings "supposed" to be??


Whatever the router gives you when you DHCP your IP address on the DSL line, it's never recommended to change your DNS provider from the one that is issued to you automatically.

@BarTender Setting DNS has been suggested on multiple occasions by different ISPs when I have had particular problems.

Obviously a DNS problem, I solved the same issue for a few friends by resetting DNS to orcon's servers or Google's public DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Is Telecom blocking the likes of thepiratebay?
Cause If I try visit it doesn't connect but I can still visit it via proxy.

eztv & piratebay both not working for me for 2 days now. given up rebooting the modem i have 2 telecom connections into the house and is the same on both of them
