Why can't Telecom just release it as it is in the meantime but warn people that there are issues with it?

Not all customers are as understanding as you guys or tech saavy. Will let you know any release ETA dates.

Thanks for the update Amber. Could you give us a timeframe? Will it be a couple of weeks or couple of months or more? It is now very tempting to go to Custom ROMs.

So far 2.3.4 for Samsungs seems to only be around as a leaked version. If that doesn't also fix whatever the Telecom XT issue is get set for an ETA of months rather than weeks.

Wonder what the issue is?
Ive been using 2.3.4 on XT for about a month now, haven't noticed any glitches here.

Likewise John. But like Akia has said its ok for us techheads to understand it but when an average user is having issues then we hear about it if its not right or theres is issues that might popup.

And wouldn't it be better to have a better customer experiance than bitch and moan that Telecom didn't get it right???

Remember that Telecom is still only testing 2.3.3. Maybe 2.3.4 will be OK.

Update is that if all goes well we hope to release the 2.3.3 update by the end of this week/next week.

Yep - I've put reminders in my calendar to remind me to ask the guys from Thursday/Friday this week everyday :)

Good news. I assume the Telecom stores can do the updates for those who don't / won't (wife won't let them possibly trash her new fone)??
