Well thats what I am looking for, I dont like the stereo one, over kill IMHO, not keen on BT due to battery drain so I am looking for as stated in the subject line, with the additional cavet I would like the answer button facility provided on the stereo unit provided with the phone.

I got a $6 single ear piece from of all places "The Base" Warehouse in hamilton that works (Wish I had bought several now) but it only has a volume control and no answer switch. It works well but I have to leave the phone on answer auto after x rings, if not I might as well not use the headset as I have to get the phone off my belt to press the answer button.

Why do I use the headset extensively, I am an IT field engineer and more often than not my hands are occupied when I get a call.

Any advice greatly appreciated on known sources, hopefully not costing mega bucks.

Ascent.co.nz have the imate stereo ones - you could just give one phone the chop (!) Surprised
Or the palm ones are mono with still a 2.5mm plug (haven't tried one though..)

The treo replacement one looks good and not mega bucks, now to find a nearby supplier who will let me test it.
