If anyone can help out,

I have managed  ( and dont know how ) to freeze up my Harrier.
It is stuck on the display of personal information screen.

Is there anyway i can "reboot" this so i can get back into it?

Any suggestions or advice ?

Thanks

Does anyone know Telecom Harrier support line number? My Harrier spilled its guts out and I lost all the data, backup is unreadable. It show on File explorer there're files the Xbackup sees nothing.

I put the SD card on my laptop to have a look, the files are not readable.. I mean the file names have funny characters rather than normal name.

Can't use ActiveSync on Linux.. so no joy on that one...

So if anyone know the phone number for Telecom Harrier support line, please let me know.

Thanks

yet more signs of the anti-competitive style of Microsoft, but we shouldn't be surprised at that.

Why anti-competitive? Microsoft creates the synchronisation software to run on their platform, surely others can create the software on their own platforms, or third party developers can do it?

For example, on Mac OS X you can synchronise Windows Mobile using The Missing Sync, a third party software. Obviously Linux followers did not have the interest to develop such a tool.

I might have to eat my own words it looks like multisync supports WM2003, so i'll try this out.

but what is anti-competitive is the fact Microsoft do not publish the documentation required to create such programmes without licencing it as 'intellectual property'.

Got Harrier back from the 7th warranty repair in a year, put the very old backup in, Nov 2005, the only one that works. The back up we did on a different card before the phone went for a service is again corrupted. Obviously, when the backup went in, I lost all the text message that was coming in as well. So I called Telecom Line investigator asking if they can resend the text messages to be. They said no because it's not appropriate inspite they have a copy on their server.

Wait a minute, if I accidentally remove an email from my inbox, my ISP can retrieve the email back for me if they still have it on the server no problem why can't TCL do the same?

I went back to the outlet and ask them for some advice, or perhaps try my backup card on another Harrier to see if it was the card's or Harrier's problem. They said, they can't do that but if I pay $100 per month on top of what I'm paying off for Harrier, I can have Apache instead!!!

Arghh!!!

Now, I don't think this is a fair comment. You can restore a backup, but in the worst case you can just restore the PIM information from Outlook or Exchange, and reinstall programs. There are third party programs that actually copy SMS to text files or XML files.

I don't have those.. because my computer is Debian OS so I can't sync it with Harrier. I tried bluetooth sync it with my flatmate's XP laptop but it was after it came back from repair. SO, no luck for my contact.

I don't know what to do now, really.

Guess, I just have to give it up all together and get back to hard copy organiser.. pen and paper.
