Has anyone found the battery life of their Apache is reduced after applying the s/w update?

I have a client who I recommended updating to:  He now finds his battery lasts less than a day, while previous to this it would last up to 3.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Cheers.

I would agree with the last post for saving power.

When comparing before and after - does he now use push email?

I was checking for new mail every 10mins durring the day before the update and now after the update I find my battery life to be about the same as before.

When you live your life on Twitter and Facebook, and are only friends with like minded people on Twitter and Facebook, you are not living in the real world. You are living in a narcissistic echo chamber.

I have only found a significant change in battery life when I have DirectPush enabled. I have got into the habit of carrying my spare (and fully charged) battery with me. I only enable DirectPush when I am expecting important email, and am not worried about running out of batteries. I also have it enabled during uninteresting meetings :)

I disable WiFi whenever it is not being used.

I never use BlueTooth so can't comment on that.
