I'm after the MMS (APN) settings for internet/mms for my HTC Sensation.

I have checked various forums and all have different settings.

Can someone who actually has a HTC Sensation on Telecom XT please let me know what the correct APN Settings are so I can send/receive pxt. ( I can currently get internet and send text but woudl like all the setting you have if you dont mind).

I have tried the settings from other Android phones and other HTC models but i'd like the correct settings from someone that actually knows it works.. not thinks it will work.

Cool

Also.. this phone was purchased overseas and is running
Android Version 2.3.3
HTC Sense Version 3.0

The link to the XT Network/APN settings Mauricio has provided you is correct. Either you are inputting the settings wrong or it is a software issue with your phone. i.e I know some AT&T firmwares don't allow you to use different APN settings. Ensure mobile network is turned on under settings also.

Otherwise look at doing a hard/full reset, start fresh and input settings again.

Ok maybe its pilot error.

The problem is the headings dont match exactly what is on my phone or they are in a different order which is why i'm a bit confused.

Do I create all 4 or just use the MMS and Internet settings?
If I do create all 4 then which one do i have the blue dot selected next to?

I to am having the same issues with an HTC Sensation purchased in Australia.

I have used the settings supplied on this site and thought I had solved the issue.

MMS/Photos that I had received were able to be downloaded where as previously they could not be down loaded.

However I could not receive a new MMS/photo from a friends phone or an MMS from an Iphone that I sent myself.

I did receive an MMS from a Friend in Australia.

Any help would be appreciated.

Both Telecom and HTC can not assist.

Regards

Zane

Have you tried to send a MMS first? I believe that you cannot receive a MMS until you send one.

First of all thanks for your help.

Unfortunately that did not work.

I have since been informed by HTC that the phone I have is incapable of receiving some MMS in NZ, which doesnt exactly delight me.

Mysupplier in Aus is not replying to my emails so I am stuck with a very expensive phone that is not capable of all functions.

If you or anyone else out there can assist I would sincerely appreciate it.

Regards & Thanks

What did HTC say exactly regarding the MMS? Can they tell you WHY it won't work in NZ or is it an answer when they cannot figure out how to fix/set up on their own phone?

Does AU have anything like the NZ CGA? where if the retailer can't/won't help you (if the phone is not fit of purpose) you can go to the distributor etc.

Thanks

Can not remember exactly what HTC said but they basically acknowledged that the phone would not receive MMS in New Zealand as it was set up for Australian networks, even though I speciffically asked for it to be available on all networks and unlocked.

HTC say that I have to work through the supplier and they are "assisting" with this.

The supplier has not returned my email.

There is an Australian Consumer group which I will be contacting very shortly.

If anyone else has any ideas they will be appreciated.

Regards & Thanks

Had my own issues with MMS a little while back.

This may or not be useful but worth a go

Steve

Many Thanks.

However it was unsuccessful.

Tried sending a photo to my work IPhone.

I have no lights beside the two APN's now.

Does it matter which APN you set up first.

I have entered mms space + space internet

Regards & Thanks

Have you tried your SIM in another handset to ensure MMS works from a network prospective?
