tardtasticx: I thought Orcon Mobile owned the 020 suffix?

Orcon, Vodafone, Telecom and TeamTalk have all been allocated?numbers in the 020 range.

http://www.nad.org.nz/NonGeographicalCodes.php

Yep... they have...

Odd. Thought Telecom may have decided to reuse their old 025 code.. Vodafone could have added new numbers in their 021 range by making some of their 6 digit numbers into 7 digits.. Heres hoping that the number format is 020 + 7 digits with all of them..

How happy do you think Vodafone customers would be with that?

I for one would be quite happy and so would of fone system installers who don't have to have convoluted ARE / LCR patterns.  But then again this is the British way.  No uniform national number length..

I would guess (you + few others + phone installers) << People who would be unhappy that they would need to have new stationery/business cards, contact all business and personal contacts etc.... re new number.

Not the end of the world.  Happened plenty of time before.  Every time a company moves changes,  their name new stationary etc..

And that's why they pay those phone installers the big bucks :)

Yeah  right.  Most of the ones I deal with are just off the the plane, Engrish is a second language and they get paid the min wage..

Yes. I just went to the local dairy and asked for one. They did not know about it, so told them to press '3' on their eftpos terminal and it printed one straight out.

LOL how did you even know what button it was? And I'm surprised the dairies haven't been told not to give them out yet.

Dairies get told nothing, when the 2Degree ones came out they just turned up on the system one day.

EziPay the people who run most of the top eftpos machines are shocking at giving out info.

Also number 3 used to be boost but has been unused for some time so it was logical it would become skinny's number.

Most shops use ezipay to supple these top up's. Have worked with these eftpos terminals in the past. 3 was set for Boost mobile which is now gone so took a guess about Skinny being on 3 now and there it was!

I went to another shop couple of weeks back, skinny was also loaded on to their terminal and asked them to print me a $5 voucher which it did not print. This time it did work so the launch must be very close now.
