does anyone know the protocol that TNZ uses for SMS sending etc, i have client needs to send SMS from a remote alarm system.

They will use a CDMA modem most likely.

ok from what i can read from my clients supplier it must be the network protocol?? i guess i will need to confirm more details from client.

7-bit ASCII but that is not going to help you. Each CDMA modem uses different AT commands to send a text message for example on a Wavecom modem:

AT+CMGS="027xxxxxxx"<CR>
this is my text message<CTRL-Z>
