It is rather disappointing, though given the current regime and the attitudes towards the internet, it isn't very surprising.

The site that actually hosts the images from the affected articles is still unblocked and hotlinking from freeloading forums (many of them Chinese forums with a lot of viewers) makes up a big amount of the traffic (which I'm not too bothered about).
For the record - the probable affected articles are here, here and here.
More or less documenting the reaction rather than commenting on it :)

I hope it was for something else but I can't think of anything else (except for perhaps the Go Large threads :P ) which could contribute towards the block, as being responsible for getting geekzone blocked from a country is a rather unwanted honor (particularly when you visit that country every year).
