That could be it. If I set the User Agent to Desktop in my Android browsers, then the text editor is visible.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

Yes it seems that this is the case. I wonder if the latest chrome for android is letting this setting remain persistent?

If you hit the menu dots at the top right in Chrome, down that list it says "Request desktop site". Is this selected for you?

When i can see the rich text editor, yes "Request desktop site" is selected

But when you open new tab it reverts back to non desktop. Sigh.

Now to figure out why sometimes when i tap a link it simply resizes the text and goes nowhere... Say I'm navigating to a sub forum

Just remember to add a space after a URL instead of just pushing ENTER straight away.

I am at two minds on using the editor on mobile devices. The few times I tested it wasn't great on Chrome for Android.

Is it not just possible to get the editor bug fixed ? That way you don't have to explain it to people and they don't need to remember?

I only have mobile devices. I only access Geekzone via a mobile device. This rich text editor is working sweetly on an android tablet.

What happened to the post-pc era? I haven't owned a pc in 5 years. My last machine was a convertible 8" fujitsu tablet/notebook in 2009. I now know the secret to links. It simply in my case is 'request desktop site'

I can't stand typing long posts on mobile or tablets. Need at least a keyboard.

Bluetooth keyboard for serious typing. But I'm quicker and more accurate on SwiftKey or a continuous input keyboard. Each to their own.
