I joined because I wanted to find out where I could buy a Blackberry Bold. I remember going into the Vodafone store to have a look, saw the price ($1,199) and walked straight back out again.

I ended up buying the Nokia 5800 which suited me fine.

heavenlywild: I believe I joined to discuss the Nokia N90. Remember that?

If I recall correctly I had an Ericsson T68 when I joined!

2008, although I don't think I posted for a few years.
The main reason I joined was that the forum I had used most became full of vitriolic left wingers/tinfoil hat wearers/ the kind of people who referred to apple as crapple or Microsoft as M$ and would turn threads where people asked for help into their own crusade against Microsoft or Apple.

Incidently wearing a tin foil hat would probably increase the chances of your brainwaves being read, if such a thing existed, to be effective it would need to completely cover the head

Pc world.co.nz magazine was getting thinner and thinner while the forum posters seemed to be getting older and older, too political, with more questions regarding problems with old technology. Felt stale.

So I started looking for other tech pc forum in nz and Google is your friend so been here for while.

Every now and then I look at pc world forum and impression of aging site is more prominent.

A.

Horseychick: Geeky girl friend sent me here after getting bored with being my personal Help Desk.  Have lurked for quite a few years and recently joined, but have always enjoyed all the very helpful information.

I was a bit scared of the 'geeks' to start with as acronyms seemed to be the order of the day and I had no idea what they meant, but Google was my friend cool

So what sort of geeky gadgets things do you have for your horse(s) wink

Geeky gadgets for the horse?  Sadly nothing really apart from a very useful app for recording vet and farrier visits cool

Someone was posting details of an app that did thermal imaging for horses, which got me all keen, but turns out it was a hoax. surprised
