A few times when I have opened a thread I have had a video open almost full screen in front of the posts. This time around trying to close it the video has moved to the left of the screen after close it and I have ended up in Facebook.

Just tried to read another thread and I had a full screen advert with a video embedded inside for Nivea shaving products - because the advert was full screen I had to abandon the site and close the browser due to the controls for closing the advert not being visible.

I understand the need for adverts but is it possible to make them less intrusive?

We don't allow autoplay videos. Is the mouse cursor hovering over the ad perhaps? The ones that may play a video show a small will in the bottom right corner that acts like a timer. See if you can notice that.

The Irony seeing this on this tread. Autoplays from when the page opens and gets bigger with mouse rollover.

No Issues with size being to large.

EDIT - learning how to post images :)

I have not had that problem on Geekzone but those rollovers get me all the time elsewhere. Sometimes maybe the mouse cursor is right there as the page loads or coincidently crosses that position going for a link. Without a delay they can be a hazard imho but I have never really looked at the issue.

This is GeekZone?
I thought I was on Google Ads. cool

Humour aside, I will check next time I see the video as to what happened - I probably moved the mouse over it without realising.
