jobxnz: Hey guys, it's the peeps from JOBX. Can't wait to meet fellow geeks in Chch.If you have a chance to check out our website http://www.jobx.co.nz that would be great as we woulve love to talk to you guys face to face about feedback. Cool

And although you can't win the smart car to own, you can win a cool weekend in Chch and be invovled with crushing things with a tank. (tell all your friends, it's an opportunity to get them to fly down to Chch for free) - the catch is you have to register to be in to win. Cool

We're also on Twitter - http://www.twitter.com/jobxnz if you guys wanna chat,

Too bad you have hardly any jobs listed in Christchurch - and most of the jobs are probably through clueless 'recruiters'.

Most of them unsuitable for entry level people.

Hey Kawai, the benefit of our site is that if there is nothing right now, you can set up a job feed so that whenever something relevant is listed they come to you. Also it's not just recruiters we are starting to target businesses directly such as SMEs.

Btw, we are very new hence not that many jobs in Chch yet. we'll be happy to talk to anyone at the Geekzone event as to how we can help them find a job.

Also - Plurk, does it have a huge following?

While your site does have a much better layout and nicer features, it doesn't have the huge people base that some of your competition does, say seek. Makes it a very hard sell to my boss.

You mean about the number of visitors? We are aggressively working on it. Perhaps we could do a special deal for you as a member of Geekzone. Flick me an email - anna {at} jobx.co.nz

I can almost smell the Pizza....

Trivia question though, do we just front up, or is there a required handshake/passphrase?

Maybe get people to quote the md5sum for MSDos 4.01 command.com? Laughing

You can hand your credit card at the door...

Seriously though I expect to be there about 5pm and if it's like Wellington and Auckland people will be there from 4pm or earlier...

Nath gets in about 3:30 from Welly, so we'll probably be there about 4-4:30.

So who's in Chch now? Other than the Chch residents.

I recall earlier it looked like numbers were getting fairly high..(was their a waiting list).
Do you need confirmations and then readjust numbers (and invite others?)

Count me as confirmed.
