Is this thread finished yet?

On a more serious note, I agree with @freitasm - my preference is to use GZ with ads enabled to generate revenue rather than paying a sub, and I think on every occasion there has been a rogue or particularly troublesome issue with an ad it has always been removed or appropriately addressed. Not many sites would go to that level of effort.

I wanna complain about the shade of gray used as the background of GZ. It's sooooooooo plain! tongue-out

and quite depressing don't you think?! tongue-outwink

Put this in your js console:

var elements = document.getElementsByClassName("forumBox");

for (var i=0; i<elements.length; i++) {
elements[i].style.backgroundColor = "chartreuse";
}

I too wondered what happened, Liked to see his content around the place :(
I remembered he had a blog and i see hes made a post about geekzone on it which would probably clear any confusion up.

Wow that's quite the shade. More of a Midori than Chartreuse though IMO.

What a narcissistic over reaction to a simple discussion.  Grow up GeekZone!

Personally I think Matrix raised some valid points, that clearly aren't listened to.  Complaints are not the same thing as suggestions...

An interesting observation - from the point that we don't know what else occured in the background, PM's etc, that resulted in this. It seems strange to me to jump to a conclusion that this was all GZ's fault when we only know what is printed here and nothing else. In this case, I feel you are being a little unreasonable and short-sighted @2tapry.

Did you bother to read the blog post before making your judgement?

No - as I don't have access to it - and neither would anyone else just reading this thread. If there is more info there that would cast light in another direction, it would be helpful if it was posted here. As it is, it reads very one sided, with GZ copping it without a lot of evidence as to why.

Seriously? And after reading it you still think that was a good contributor to this site?

It's my opinion that if you think Geekzone is not good enough for you, please send me a PM and I can close your account. If you think we don't put a lot of effort into making this a community that's worth your time around then please let me know.
