Dear Leader, and other supreme beings.

I forthwith offer a suggestion: make link pasting easier.

I can never ever remember the syntax to close the bbcode, so I suggest it be shown in the preface to the quick reply box.

Or even better, automatically identify and link anything with http or www. Then i can continue posting from the mobile site. Sounds simple to me.

Yours simply. 1eStar

I guess I'll have to work out whether samsung internet browser has tinyMCE.

I'll try by pasting a link here in the mobile browser. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/TinyMCE

Works for me. Type (or paste), push ENTER or SPACE and it automatically creates the hyperlink. You have to be using the editor though.

I can't trigger editor mode on Samsung internet. It seems nigh on impossible to post links from a mobile device. Anyway, I'll leave my suggestion again: if the reply box showed the correct closing syntax for the bbcode, I'd have a crack at it.

Exactly. I never can remember which is forward slash, or which one to use anyway, hence my suggestion.

BTW, I have elected 2 factor authentication to log in, and never was challenged to use it to log in in this instance.
