A suggestion:  Set up a forum specifically for topics relating to Sky TV.

Currently most Sky TV topics are posted in the Home Theatre forum.  While this isn't inappropriate, it doesn't always fit well.  Other Sky TV topics are scattered across various other forums, including Freeview even when the topic has nothing to do with Freeview.

A look at the first page of the Home Theatre forum indicates that 24% of the topics and 38% of the posts relate to Sky TV, though many of the them have little to do with home theatre as such.

Thoughts?

I disagree. I actually think that too many forums isnt a good idea, as you're less likely to have your topic noticed.
I think that perhaps home theatre could be renamed AV & Home Theatre, with the description including sky.

We have a freeview forum so why not incorporate it into that?

It could be renamed "Television and Video" or something like that?

I agree that proliferation of forums would be a bad thing. My concern is that there isn't a natural home for Sky TV related topics - hence they tend to be scattered across various forums.

Renaming the Home Theatre forum, and broadening its description to include Sky TV, might do the job.  Though with such a solution, would it then be inconsistent to have a separate Freeview forum?

While I agree a Sky TV forum would be ideal I am only willing to create this if and when Sky TV actually participates here. Until now I haven't heard from anyone at Sky TV about the discussions, ideas, questions posted here.

I think it fits in the Home Theatre forum. When I find a Sky TV discussion on Freeview I move to the appropriate forum.

Fair enough.
Sky TV could learn something from the more enlightened companies that do participate in these forums.

Maybe if there was a dedicated Sky forum here, someone at Sky might see that there is a ground swell against some of their antics which might be sufficient to get them off their arses and reply, or at least post some meaningful comment.

Nothing ventured - nothing gained.

Private emails to Sky don't draw the answers that are required :(
