Morning,

Is it normal to have an "Ad overload" like so?

Cheers

Can't say I've seen ads like that on here :-)

Is that some weight loss site?

We use Google AdSense to display ads when a spot is not sold. AdSense is an auction system and the ads that pay more are shown. If Skinny is paying more than others, that's what will appear. Most of the times you might even see ads from competing companies on the same page. But in some occasions this may happen.

AdSense uses the page content and your page visits to decide interest, context and set the price competition for the ad slots.

Yep I know what ya mean there. Suppose they just paid a bit more than the rest :)

Kind of ironic, seeing that is on the Vodafone sub-forum... We do offer an "exclusive sub-forum" option for direct advertisers (not via AdSense). WorldxChange and Snap used that for years - basically only one ad per page, and it;s always 100% for the sub-forum sponsor. And by policy I don't allow competitors to sponsor a competitor's sub-forum.

But as I said, has to be directly through me, not via automated channels.
