my prefered way to search is to simply hit google up...

This. It will find the correct page (GZ is indexed pretty quickly by google), but it won't jump to the right part within that page (or thread).

Ctrl f is what I have been using, I just wondered if there was a more native forum option as it is on the really long threads that I tend to want to use it
